How to Get Your Order

1. Click & Collect (Free)

Order online and pick up in store during business hours. You’ll receive an email when your order is ready for collection.

2. Uber Delivery (Sydney)

If you’d like your order delivered locally in Sydney, you’re welcome to arrange an Uber delivery (or similar courier service) at your own cost. Simply contact us to coordinate a pickup time.

3. Australia-Wide Shipping

We ship live freshwater fish, aquatic plants, invertebrates, fish food, and aquarium equipment Australia-wide via express courier.

  • Minimum order for shipping is $25 (excluding shipping).
  • Orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes. A physical residential or business address is required.
  • Remote or regional areas may attract a freight surcharge. We’ll contact you before processing if this applies.

Dispatch Schedule:

  • Live fish, plants & invertebrates are dispatched on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
  • Dry goods (food, equipment, accessories) are dispatched Monday to Friday.
  • Orders placed after the weekly cut-off will be shipped the following week.
  • You will receive a tracking number by email on the day of dispatch.

Delivery Timeframe:

  • Most orders arrive overnight (next business day after dispatch).
  • Some regional areas may take up to 48 hours in transit.
  • Please monitor your tracking number closely. If your parcel is not showing movement the morning after dispatch, contact us and the courier immediately.

How We Pack Live Animals:

All livestock is packed with the utmost care:

  • Insulated foam boxes with pure oxygen
  • Heat packs included during cooler months at no extra charge
  • Every animal is health-checked before packing

Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy

We stand behind every animal we sell with a 100% Arrive Alive Guarantee on all live fish, aquatic plants, shrimp, snails and other invertebrates.

If Something Arrives Dead, We Resend It

Unlike most stores that only offer refunds, we will resend the animal to make it right. Shipping costs for the resend are at the customer’s expense.

How to Make a DOA Claim

  1. Take a clear photo or short video of the animal in the unopened bag on the day of arrival.
  2. Email us within 24 hours of receiving your order at amazonia2049@gmail.com with:
    • Your order number
    • The photo or video
    • A brief description of what arrived
  3. Do not open the bag before taking your evidence. Claims without evidence in an unopened bag cannot be accepted.

All DOA claims must be submitted by email. Claims via phone, text or social media cannot be processed.

What Happens Next

Once your claim is approved, we will arrange a replacement of the affected animal(s). You will need to cover the shipping cost for the resend. Alternatively, you may choose to collect the replacement in store at no additional cost.

What Is Not Covered

  • Animals that arrived alive but died after acclimation
  • Livestock left unattended at the delivery address overnight
  • Livestock left at a courier depot overnight
  • Orders delayed due to an incorrect shipping address
  • Orders where the DOA guarantee timeframe of 48 hours from dispatch has been exceeded

Return & Refund Policy

Live Animals

Due to the nature of live animals, we cannot accept returns on any live fish, invertebrates, or aquatic plants. All livestock sales are final. Our DOA policy above covers animals that do not survive transit.

Dry Goods (Equipment, Food, Accessories)

Situation Our Policy
Faulty or damaged item Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a description and photos. We’ll arrange a return and issue a full refund of the item price. Shipping is not refunded.
Wrong item received Contact us within 24 hours with a photo. We’ll send the correct item or issue a full refund including original shipping.
Change of mind Exchange only. Item must be unused, in original packaging. Return and replacement postage are at your cost.

Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled before dispatch only. Once packed and shipped, cancellations are not possible. Contact us as early as possible at amazonia2049@gmail.com or call 0450 567 776.


Your Responsibilities

To ensure your fish arrive safely and thrive:

  • Have your aquarium fully set up and cycled before ordering
  • Be available to receive the parcel on the delivery day — don’t let live animals sit outside
  • Acclimate your fish properly upon arrival
  • Monitor your tracking number and act quickly if delays occur
  • Check your spam folder for dispatch and tracking emails

State Restrictions

We currently do not ship to Western Australia (WA), Northern Territory (NT), or Tasmania (TAS) due to state-level import regulations on live aquatic animals.
