Fancy Ranchu 10–12cm

Fancy Ranchu 10–12cm are beautiful fancy goldfish selected for their balanced body shape, smooth curved backs and attractive head growth. Their peaceful nature and distinctive Ranchu profile make them an excellent feature fish for a well-maintained fancy goldfish aquarium.

Appearance

Each Fancy Ranchu has its own combination of colour, markings, head growth and body shape. The photographs show the typical appearance of the fish currently offered, but this is not a WYSIWYG listing and the individual supplied may vary slightly.

Aquarium Care

Fancy Ranchu require a spacious, mature aquarium with reliable biological filtration and good oxygenation. An aquarium of approximately 75 litres or larger is a sensible starting point for one fish, with additional space required for every extra goldfish.

Maintain stable water conditions and perform regular partial water changes. Ranchu are slow swimmers, so avoid excessively strong currents. Smooth decorations and fine sand or a bare-bottom setup are recommended.

Feeding

Tankmates

Fancy Ranchu are peaceful and are best kept with other slow-swimming fancy goldfish of a similar size. Avoid aggressive fish, fin-nipping species and fast goldfish varieties that may outcompete them for food.
